Thomas Schwager - Founder & Investment Manager

Thomas Schwager is a financial advisor, public speaker and educator, determined to help everyday Australian’s obtain the best possible financial advice for themselves and their families.

Thomas has written a range of papers for his clients on topics such as investing strategies, retail superannuation funds, Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSF’s), investing structures, mortgages, and insurance. Thomas’ transparent approach to advice and investing has seen him develop trusted lifetime friendships with his clients as they look to grow, preserve and pass on wealth through generations.

Thomas has presented to industry bodies and run accredited training courses on superannuation targeted at accountants, mortgage brokers, financial planners, stockbrokers, real estate agents, solicitors and conveyancers. As a lecturer of financial qualifications to industry professionals, Thomas has a developed a thorough technical knowledge of industry regulation across financial advice, insurance, funds management, stockbroking, superannuation and self-managed superannuation.

Thomas has a particular interest in Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSF’s) and providing investors with strategic advice on how best to structure their retirement savings. Against the back drop of government review in the SMSF sector, Thomas is at the cutting edge of regulatory change, ensuring his clients remain within the confines of superannuation regulation, while optimizing the opportunities it presents for investors to maximize their retirement savings.

Thomas was raised on a sheep and cattle property in Northern NSW and was home schooled on his property via distance education before heading to Sydney for secondary school and university.

Thomas has studied economics, accounting and finance at the University of Sydney, is a qualified financial planner and is derivatives accredited through the Australian Securities Exchange. He has worked in the Australian equities market for some of the world’s largest investment banks and has advised over 500 clients. 

Thomas is a founding trustee on the board of a registered charity that supports the rehabilitation and ongoing treatment of a brain tumor and degenerative brain disease contracted by his longtime friend. Thomas enjoys keeping fit, reading, is an avid traveler and maintains strong links to his farming roots.
